While the rower itself does not require electricity to function, the WaterRower A1 CityRow Connect Rowing Machine's Tablet does need to be plugged into a wall outlet to function.

The WaterRower A1 BLE does not require power from an outlet; the monitor is powered by a rechargeable USB battery.
